Private Safaris
- The Ultimate Way To Safari -
Join Tom on a tailor made safari to suit you. You can choose both the dates and the destination that you would prefer instead of joining a set date group safari. Tom is able to provide various bespoke itineraries that cater for an array of interests and budgets
A private safari is certainly the best way to travel as you can dictate every part of the trip from the camps you stay, the time spent at each location and the subjects you would like to see and photograph. You will have Tom’s sole attention for every drive on the safari. He will encourage you to ask as many questions as you like whilst giving guidance on composition, settings, lighting and focusing techniques. Tom will also run a series of image reviews and portfolio critiques throughout your time away and also provide editing workshops whilst on location. Tom strongly believes that a photographic safari of this nature should involve elements of learning and inspiration and he will constantly make himself available to fulfil these two fundamentals.
Booking a private safari in some cases is not significantly more expensive than joining a set date departure. There is no limit to your guest numbers on these tailor safaris, so if you would like to book Tom either as a 1-1 safari, a 2-1 or even as a group of 6 this can be arranged.

His work has been awarded in the worlds leading photographic competitions including Wildlife Photographer Of The Year and GDT European Wildlife Photographer Of The Year. Over the last decade, Tom has spent a vast amount of time in the African bush and therefore has a wealth of knowledge and photographic experience to guide and share with you throughout your safari. During this time, copious amounts of research and thought has been put into planning safaris to Africa. From what time of year is best, to which areas will give the optimum photographic opportunities. Together with the team on the ground, Tom can make sure you are in the perfect position to capture the best possible images of these animals in their natural environment.
2026 - 2028
Tom only runs a limited number of private safaris each year. With 2026 and 2027 fully booked, Tom’s first available date would be in 2028.
